Who You're Working With

Before I built Perch Insights Consulting, I was an officer in the U.S. Army who led soldiers through some of the hardest moments most of the population will never understand.
​
I learned what real leadership looks like, the kind where the cost of getting it wrong isn't a missed quarter, it's people.  I also learned, in the worst environment possible, what happens when leadership is in name only.
​
When I came back to civilian work, I kept seeing the same patterns, quieter, lower-stakes, but unmistakably the same.  Smart people sidelined.  Teams losing faith in the people above them.  Strategists being told to "wait their turn" while less qualified voices got the platform.
​
Eventually I did the only thing left to do.  I built a practice for the people I've spent my whole career sitting next to in meetings, the quietly excellent, the chronically underestimated, the ones with the map in their hand who keep getting told to be patient.
​
There's more to the story than that.
