FAQs

I know that exploring coaching — especially for the first time — can bring up a lot of questions. Whether you identify as neurodivergent, suspect you might be, or simply want support in creating meaningful change, this page is here to help you understand what coaching looks like, how it works, and how it can fit your life. My goal is to make the process clear, comfortable, and empowering — so you can focus on discovering what truly helps you thrive.

What exactly is Parental Coaching?

Parental Coaching is a personalized, goal-oriented process that helps parents develop the tools, confidence, and insight they need to navigate parenting challenges more effectively. Rather than offering one-size-fits-all advice, a parental coach works with you to understand your family’s unique dynamics, values, and goals.

What exactly is Neurodivergent Coaching?

Neurodivergent coaching is a personalized, strengths-based approach that helps you understand and work with your brain — not against it. Whether you identify as ADHD, Autistic, AuDHD, or simply think differently, coaching helps you uncover your natural strengths, navigate challenges, and create systems that truly fit you.

How is coaching different from therapy or counseling?

Therapy focuses on helping you heal from the past and process emotions. Coaching focuses on the present and future — helping you act, stay accountable, and move toward your goals. Many clients find that therapy and coaching complement each other beautifully.

Who can benefit from coaching?

Anyone who wants to better understand themselves, improve their routines, or find success in a way that feels sustainable. While I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals, many of my clients are professionals, parents, or creatives who simply want tools to work smarter, reduce stress, and thrive authentically.

Do I need an official diagnosis to work with you?

No diagnosis is required. Coaching is about understanding your patterns, strengths, and challenges — not fitting into a label.
Many of my clients identify as neurodivergent, but even if you don’t, there are plenty of ways coaching can support you. If you want to grow, manage overwhelm, or build systems that align with who you are, you’re in the right place. My goal is to help anyone ready to make meaningful change..

What kind of goals can coaching help with?

Together, we can work on items like family finances, time management, communication, emotional regulation, setting boundaries, or navigating workplace challenges. The process is always personalized — no cookie-cutter plans here.

How does the coaching process work?

We start with either a Discovery or Full Intake session to understand your goals, strengths, and challenges. Then, we meet on your specified cadence (depending on your goals) to create strategies, build habits, and reflect on progress. Every session is flexible — adapted to your pace, learning style, and needs.

Is coaching covered by insurance?

Coaching is generally not covered by insurance because it’s considered a professional or personal development service, not a medical one. However, many clients can claim coaching as a business, leadership, or professional development expense.

How long does it take to see results?

Everyone’s journey is different, but many clients start noticing small shifts within a few sessions. Sustainable results usually come over time as we fine-tune strategies that truly work for you — not someone else’s version of “success.”

What makes 'This' coaching different from traditional coaching?

Traditional coaching often assumes that motivation and organization look the same for everyone — but they don’t. This coaching style recognizes that your brain might need different tools, systems, and pacing. Instead of forcing you into “cookie cutter method of what you should be or do,” we build strategies that match your natural wiring.

How do I know if this coaching is right for me?

If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, overwhelmed by expectations, or tired of trying to “fix” yourself — this is for you. Coaching gives you space to explore how you work best and build confidence in your unique way of thinking and doing. The best way to find out is through a free consultation — no pressure, just connection.
